In what is only our 2nd year as part of this competition, this group of young girls showed us that the future of our female Scorchers Squad is quite bright. In what was great learning for one of our female Scorchers superstars, off-spinner Ruby Orchard, after recently completing her Community Coach Accreditation was keen to put her new learning into practice by taking her first representative side away. With Ruby’s inability to wipe a smile off her face the girls were in an environment where fun and enjoyment were at the core of everything the girls would do during the week. With a couple of wins and a couple of losses, the girls were able to experience the many different emotions one can encounter during a junior cricket carnival. This week was a great opportunity for the girls to experience an all girls carnival and the amazing growth that we continue to see in girls cricket. Great work girls and we look forward to seeing many of your in our rich red and yellow in years to come!
